In The Area:
Situated on Spain´s Mediterranean coastline, Costa Blanca offers miles of beautiful white sandy beaches and a wonderful holiday climate.
Ancient Roman baths at the base of the Peñon provide a handy cultural moment for those so inclined, whilst for others the wineries in the Jalon valley might be more appealing.
Calpe's traditional street market on Saturday and Rastro (flea market) on Wednesday are very popular. Many surrounding towns have similar markets on other days.
The villa is a short 500m walk (downhill) to Puerto Blanco with its charming marina, pebble beach, outdoor bar, terraced restaurant featuring traditional Spanish dishes and tapas. There is also a full service restaurant for more elaborate dining.
A large supermarket, stores, pharmacies and internet cafes are no more than a 3 min drive away.
A 5 min drive gets you to Calpe's several large white sand beaches and its dramatic geological, rock formation, the Peñon de Ifach. There are walking trails to explore the area and the nature park at the Peñon and, for the more ambitious, rock climbing. Bike and quad hire is available locally.
Numerous diving schools and other water sports abound. The Calpe tennis club is convenient and open to the public. Golf is available at the 9-hole San Jaime course in nearby Benissa, with a challenging 18-hole course in Benidorm, 20 mins away.
The Terra Mitica amusement park is at Benidorm, 20 mins away, for a family day out.
As Calpe began as a fishing village there are many fish restaurants along the beach front and around the main port. If a lively night life is required, fear not, the number and variety of bars and restaurants in Calpe, clubs and discos in Benidorm are far too numerous to visit in a single holiday.
Large supermarkets, stores and pharmacies are no more than a 2 min drive away.

An optional welcome pack containg basic foods, etc. can be arranged for those planning to arrive on bank holiday dates or late in the evening.
Refundable breakages/lost keys deposit of £250 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
25% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.
Regrettably, beach towels are not provided since we can't gaurantee they'll still be there when you arrive.
The property is on more than one level and is thus unsuitable for the elderly and handicapped.
