A vacation at Villa Rocce is a true Italian holiday experience. The property is situated in the midst of beautiful rolling hills looking towards the well-known medieval town of Todi. In the spring wildflowers transform the countryside into a rainbow of color, but still one’s eye is drawn upward, to the tops of the surrounding hills and the walled town of Todi perched above.
The Villa's interior is airy and spacious. The large windows let plenty of light come inside. The Villa can host 8 people ( + 4) in 4 bedrooms all with enusite bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a very large and well equipped kitchen with a huge stone’s fireplace. Near the kitchen there is a marvelous salon with a table for 12, sofa corner and TV-Sat. By the salon there is an office and an useful pantry with an extra freezer and washing machine.
In the garden there is a private enchanting pool which will give the sensation of swimming in the midst of nature and history while looking at the breathtaking landscape or the impressive Bramante's dome on the horizon.
It is located in Umbria, among the wonderful views of the hills nearby Todi (in the Perugia province), with a 350 meter height above sea level, approximately midway between Florence and Rome. Todi is perched on a tall two-crested hill overlooking the east bank of the river Tiber, commanding distant views in every direction. In the 1990s, Richard S. Levine, a professor of architecture at the University of Kentucky, chose Todi as the model sustainable city, because of its scale and its ability to reinvent itself over time. After that, the Italian press reported on Todi as the world's most livable city.
In Umbria the fortified medieval hill towns are rich in art, history and architecture, and are relatively untouched by tourism. Gubbio, Spello, Todi, Spoleto, Deruta, Orvieto — all are unique and worthy of a visit. Perugia, the capital, is one of Italy’s best preserved towns, with a strong artistic and cultural tradition. Arts locations, medieval villages and natural beauties (Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi, Gubbio Foligno, Perugia, Trasimeno Lake, Marmore Falls, Bolsena Lake), which have made this part of Central Italy famous all around the world, can be easily reached from Villa Rocce.
